10.09.2009 Momotaro Auction

As summer draws to a close, the anticipation of the upcoming koi harvest grows. Our buying season starts in the last week of September.

For those of you that would like to come to Japan, now is the perfect time to let us plan your autumn buying trip for you. We cover both Niigata and areas in the south such as Hiroshima, Okayama and Shimane. You will get to see a very large selection of quality koi during your trip, and if you prefer to focus on a single region then we can also accommodate your wishes.

Kokugyo Network offers clear pricing and flat commissions. There are no hidden costs and we operate from a principle of fairness. If you would like to explore your options with Japan-based koi export agents, then please give us a try! We think that you will be impressed with our knowledge and enthusiasm for koi, as well as with our relationship with the breeders.

Momotaro will be hosting an auction for nisai and tosai on October 1st, 2009 and we would be happy to bid on your behalf. We will send out another update once the auction koi photos and video are released. If there are any koi in these that strike your fancy, please send your bids via email.

15.05.2009 Reserve Champion at Asia Cup!

Congratulations to Haitao Koi Farm for taking Reserve Champion and Best in Variety with a 90 cm Kohaku supplied by  us. We purchased this kohaku as nisai and grew it in the 1500 ton pond of Momotaro until it reached its current size  before deciding that it was time for her to be placed in a major koi show. Kokugyo Network now has Champions in four  countries, and we look forward to supplying even more champion koi to serious contenders.

30.10.2008 Had a great visit with Wada-san from Minuma today

Often I see his goshiki and ginrin goshiki in the All-Japan and Wakagoi shows, so I wanted to go and have a look for myself. He has a very interesting philosophy about breeding goshiki and koi in general and I have to say that I was very impressed with his personality and enthusiasm. I asked him to bowl up 3 koi that he thought are representative of his different goshiki lines, and he was more than willing to oblige.

His koi are in very high demand in Japan and are sold off rather quickly. Let us know if there's something that you are looking for and we will be on the lookout for it on our next visit.
